This hotel was a pleasant surprise, probably because we went with little or no expectation. But it turned out to be well built on a quiet part of the town with access to backwaters right across the street. The room was well appointed. However, with no active kitchen throughout the day, room service was limited. But the guys were friendly enough to get you anything if it was available in the town. The con side is that they run this hotel like 50 years ago. Could do with modern day housekeeping and hygiene practices.

Hotel Aswini Residency, I stayed at this hotel on 24th to 26th of December. This hotel with its beautiful premises has the potential of being one of the best hotel in Alleppy. But sadly nothing was right with this hotel when I was in. Pros : 1. Good neat, clean, spacious rooms with adequate bathrooms. 2. Ample parking. 3. Clean and neat lobbies and surroundings. Cons : Innumerable. Few mentioned under, 4. Nobody picks up the service phones. 5. Serious staff shortage with none of them speaking English including the manager. The entire hotel seems to have only two to three staff who does everything from lobby management to housekeeping. 6. Nobody to give information about the attractions or backwater tours. 7. No restaurant. 8. Breakfast is arranged from outside after taking a long time. 9. Location away from the backwaters and remote. 10. Felt overall like a haunted hotel with almost next to nil occupancy. I am thankful that we were three families travelling together. I saw very few other guests in the hotel. I would strongly recommend single families to avoid this hotel at the moment under the present conditions of management. What a real waste of such lovely premises.

A beautiful, well maintained hotel with a serene atmosphere. The hotel stays on a quiet road away from market place or busy roads. The staff are very courteous and attentive to needs. They took care to prepare fresh vegetarian food for us, a group of 7 musicians and served on time. I would strongly recommend this to families as well for all rooms are spacious, modern and the corridors are broad, safe and clean suitable for kids to move around.

Aswini Residency ... its a lovely hotel in Alappuzha well built hotel with both traditional and modern features. Comes with good car parking space and a lovely view. We went in the month of june 2013 for a day's stay at Aswini. It was a last minute booking for us and we didn't expect a lot. But we were absolutely amazed with the location, hotel and our first impression about the place made us love every min we stayed at Aswini We had a good room provided with good room service facility. Very attentive and friendly front office and restaurant staff. I believe hotel also provides tourist with backwater trips and assist with travel and sightseeing. rooms are affordable. Overall we had a great stay at Aswini. We would definitely stay at Aswini again.
